چکیده

-Concrete has been widely used as a construction material in Buildings and other Industrial Structures. Sufficient research work has been carried out to understand the Mechanical properties like Compressive Strength, Flexural Strength, Tensile strength, Shear strength and Modulus of elasticity. There are many situations in which the concrete undergoes variation in temperatures which will ultimately leads to the failure of the structures. This paper presents facts and figures obtained from experimental results by various researchers on the effects of elevated temperature on Self compacting concrete concrete with (mono fiber like Polypropylene fiber and hybrid fibers like Polypropylene with Steel fiber) and without fibers, the corresponding changes in the mechanical properties. It can be concluded that the performance of hybrid fibers SCC subjected to elevated temperature is better than the SCC without fibers. Keywords-Self compacting concrete, elevated temperature, fibers, Polypropylene, Steel.

Investigating properties of fresh and hardened self-compacting concrete made of recycled aggregates

Self-compacting concrete is a new high performance concrete with high ductility and segregation resistance. In recent years, construction material manufacturers have focused their attention on lightweight concrete and have strived to use lightweight concrete, if possible, in load-bearing parts of buildings. Concrete with both self-compacting and lightweight properties is favourable in this cont...

An Experimental Study on Effect of Waste Tire Rubber on the Fresh and Hardened Behavior of Self-compacting Concrete

The development of environmentally accepted methods of used tire disposal is one of the greatest challenges that waste management experts face today. Use of waste rubber particles as aggregate in self-compacting concrete is a suitable solution for the environmental hazards of waste tires being produced on a large scale. The aim of this work is to investigate the influence of the size of waste r...

Application of Nanotechnology in Self-Compacting Concrete Design

In this study, first, different mix design of four types of Self-Compacting Concrete (SCC), 1. SCC consisted of only nanosilica, 2. SCC included only microsilica, 3. SCC consisted of both microsilica and nanosilica and 4. SCC without microsilica and nanosilica called as control mix, were casted and tested to find out the values of the Slump Flow, L-Box and 7 and 28 days compressive strength. Th...

Using Waste Marbles in Self Compacting Lightweight Concrete

Abstract—In this study, the effects of waste marbles as aggregate material on workability and hardened concrete characteristics of self compacting lightweight concrete are investigated. For this purpose, self compacting light weight concrete are produced by waste marble aggregates are replaced with fine aggregate at 5%, 7.5%, and 10% ratios. Fresh concrete properties, slump flow, T50 time, V fu...

Experimental Study of the Combined Use of Fiber and Nano Silica Particles on the Properties of Lightweight Self Compacting Concrete

In fiber concretes, microcracks in the boundary area between the cement paste and the surface of aggregates or fibers are higher. Natural and artificial pozzolans can be used for reinforcing this area. In this research, the combination of glass fiber, zeolite, and nano silica particles were used in lightweight self-compacting concrete containing scoria. Fiber volume fractions between 0% to 1.5%...
